We don’t want you taking off on your trip without your new gear, so please let us know. There are some tricks, like leaving a note on your door for UPS or Fed Ex, giving them permission to leave your package at your door without a signature, or to leave it with a certain neighbor. While you are running around preparing for your trip, the last thing you need is to miss the delivery. We are happy to help in any way to make sure you have what you need for your climbing trip.
Can I have my order shipped to my Post Office Box?
Although UPS and Fed Ex will not deliver to a Post Office Box address, just let us know and we will ship it through the United States Postal Service in these cases. 10. WARNING
READ and UNDERSTAND THIS WARNING
Climbing is inherently dangerous.
Like smoking, climbing buildings, rock, ice, and mountaineering are addictive and inherently dangerous habits. Although we are here to help support you with these particular habits, you or your partner(s) could be seriously injured or killed while either climbing, on approach, bivying, or camping. No amount of instruction or expertise can eliminate the inherent hazards in climbing mountains, rock, or ice. Unfortunately, climbing smart, fast, and light cannot eliminate all the risks and hazards of climbing. Trick gear won’t always help either.
Bradley Alpinist encourages all visitors of its site, and users of its products, to seek proper instruction before climbing, and we have included on this site a list, as well as links, to a variety of certified guides that can offer sound instruction, and a safe and fun adventure. Our site also offers excellent choices of books that can enhance your knowledge of technique and equipment usage, complementing your investment in formal instruction.
Proper use of gear supplied by Bradley Alpinist is the responsibility of the user. Bradley Alpinist and its agents will not accept responsibility for damages, injury or death resulting from misuse of our gear. You are ultimately responsible for your own actions and decisions. Learn the proper use of all climbing equipment and understand its limitations. Inspect all equipment before each use and destroy any gear that is damaged, worn, or does not pass thorough and frequent inspection. When using climbing gear and related equipment you accept full responsibility for your safety as well as the safety of others around you. You are personally responsible for learning the proper techniques and good judgment necessary for proper use of all climbing gear. Reading and understanding any product information contained on Bradleyalpinist.com, or provided by the manufacturers represented by Bradley Alpinist, is not a substitute for qualified personal instruction.
THERE ARE OTHER HAZARDS... arriving alive
We at Bradley Alpinist also understand that many of your risks associated with climbing will have to do with your all transportation just to get to the trail head; either by other people on the road driving like idiots, wet weather and icy road conditions, or those hairball taxi rides in foreign countries. There is a saying in the mountaineering community that in some countries, if the mountain doesn’t kill you, the taxi ride just might. We all know that driving is more dangerous and risky than climbing, so why make things worse by drinking and driving. Although climbing activities contribute to beer tasting so good, Never Drink and Drive. If you have been drinking, have a designated driver, and always have disk-two of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti in your CD changer.
